What’s the difference between a conservatory and a Garden Room?
Liveability! Unlike a conservatory a Garden Room will be usable all year round and become an integral part of your home.
What makes a Garden Room different to any other type of extension?
With a Garden Room the emphasis is always on light and space.
Will we need planning permission?
Probably not. Most Garden Rooms fall within existing permitted build, but we will of course advise you further when we visit your home.
Will a Garden Room match the external appearance of my house?
Yes, if that’s the look you’re after, else we can suggest something more contemporary to enhance your home. We offer a range of materials and styles to suit all designs and budgets.
Are Garden Rooms built to current building regulations?
Yes, of course! Your Garden Room will be inspected at key stages throughout the build by independent building control officers.
How well insulated are your Garden Rooms?
We always comply with and usually exceed modern building standards with regards to floor, wall and roof insulation. It’s highly likely that your new Garden Room will be better insulated than your existing home!
Will a Garden Room be at the same level our existing ground floor?
Floors will be carefully laid in such a way as to ensure a seamless transition from your existing house into your Garden Room, unless of course you’d like the floor to be at a different level, which we can achieve, subject to ground conditions.
How is a Garden Room heated?
For maximum comfort with minimal impact, we install underfloor heating as standard. The type of underfloor heating system we install usually depends on the size of your room and type of flooring you are intending to lay.
